JMS Adopts Three Families through the Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family Program

Posted on December 15th, 2017

For the fourth year in a row JMS participated in Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family Program. This program pairs impoverished families in the Bound Brook and Somerville area with individuals or companies to help improve the holidays for the families.

This year JMS was matched with three families in the Bound Brook/Somerville area. JMS Staff and Scientists brought in donations of clothing, toys and gift cards for the adopted families. ShopRite, Walmart and Target gift cards were also given to the families. The gifts were collected for 21 total family members with children ranging in age from 3 to 16 years old. After gifts were placed in gift bags they were loaded into the JMS Sleigh and brought to the Bound Brook Salvation Army on December 11.

JMS was thrilled to participate in this program this year and looks forward to participating again next year. For those interested in participating next year, please visit
