JM Sorge, Inc. (JMS) will be leading an Environmental Due Diligence workshop at the 21st Annual New Jersey Land Conservation Rally, on Friday, March 17, 2017. The Rally is one of the nation’s largest statewide conservation training events, and is a daylong educational experience offering workshops, plenary sessions, and networking opportunities. The Rally will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 2 Albany Street, New Brunswick, NJ. The theme is “Healthy Land….Healthy Water.” Additional information can be found at: https://njconservation.org/conservationrally.htm.
JMS will walk through the due diligence process at the workshop, including Phase 1 and Preliminary Assessments, and discuss areas of concern that are commonly identified on rural and urban land conservation projects. A discussion of case studies will show how environmental problems, such as underground storage tanks, historic pesticide application, farm dumps, and historic fill material can be addressed and when a Licensed Site Remediation Professional needs to be involved. The workshop will help people make the right decisions during the due diligence process to protect organizations, public health, and the environment.
